We’re over the moon to be asked by our friends at kidney research to organise their sponsored walk around Newcastle and Gateshead again this year!
The event will take place, once again, at Baltic Square on Sunday 10th June 2018 for a 10am kick-off. Hundreds of families from around the North East will be giving up their Sunday morning lie in to face the North’s inclement weather and embark on a 7 mile trek around our beautiful city. Let’s just hope the sunshine decides to pay us a visit!
Come rain or shine, SGI will be there with music, laughter, face painters, entertainment and a special warm up from PureGym, Longbenton. Manager, Claire Robinson, is an avid supporter of the cause and will be joining us for the third year running with her fantastic team behind her (and us) every step of the way.
Like PureGym, we’ve had some amazing support for Kidney Research and there are ways you can get involved too.
Be a participant by signing up via the Kidney Research website. Really easy to do and you could help raise a lot of money for an incredible charity;
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
We’re always looking for some extra hands on the day to help make sure that the event runs as smooth and safe as possible. And we tend to have a bit of fun along the way.
If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer then please contact the Event Manager, Sie Francis, on email@example.com.
sponsor the event
We’re looking for local businesses who want to support Kidney Research and their mission by sponsoring the event. If this sounds like something that would interest you then get in touch (again) with Event Manager, Sie Francis, on the above email address.
Alternatively, if you just want to show your support by placing a flyer and a balloon in your shop window then let us know and we’ll deliver one to you.

kidney research have asked us to run their glasgow bridges walk too!!!
On Sunday 14th October 2018 we will be at the Riverside Museum to facilitate their Glasgow Bridges Walk which will begin at the Millennium Bridge to the Albert Bridge and back again.
Kidney Research were so impressed with our work on the Newcastle Bridges Walk that they were very keen to work with us on this and we could not be happier. We love a good challenge!
Likewise for the Glasgow Bridges Walk, there are ways you can get involved. We are looking for volunteers and local businesses to support the event but you can also become a participant by clicking the link below;
